Rebecca Takes Gold in OFSAA NG Race

Congratulations to our crew who raced OFSAA XC yesterday! It was a beautiful day, and it couldn’t have started better. Seven CTAC athletes finished in the Top 50.  No small feat at OFSAA XC.  Rebecca led the way, winning the NG event!  Congratulations Champ!!  Kieva followed up with a Bronze in the JG event with a sprint in the final stretch for the ages!!  Way to go ladies!!  Rounding out our three Top 10 finishes, Morgan finished 8th in the SG race, improving her time on this course by over a minute.  We also had several Top 50 finishes including William 25th NB, Chloe 36th NG and Nathan 50th SB.  Also, members of our group contributed significantly in the team results.  Addison and Olivia were the 2nd and 3rd scorers on the Northern NB Bronze Medal Team, MaddyZ. was the 5th scorer on the Malvern SG Silver Medal Team.  The Northern SG Bronze Medal Team featured Mia and Andy as their 2nd and 4th scorers respectively.  Championship races like OFSAA are very demanding and no matter where you may have finished, you’ve had the opportunity to learn!!  Awesome job everyone!!

CTAC Athletes Rock TDSB Cross Country

That was some day, yesterday at the TDSB Metro Regional Cross Country Meet.  Twenty CTAC athletes will be representing their schools at the 2023 OFSAA Cross Country Championships.  The event will be held on the same course at Etobicoke Centennial Park on Saturday November 4.

We had eleven Top 10 finishes including 2 in the Top 5 and six medallists!  Congratulations to Rebecca NG Champions and Sho SB Champion.  Silver medallists include, William NB, Morgan SG and Nathan SB.  Kieva brought home the JG bronze medal.

Congratulations all!  Worth noting was the 1-2 finish by Sho and Nathan in the SB race.  It was the first time CTAC athletes have taken the first two positions in a SB race!

Tomorrow our contingent of CISAA athletes race their OFSAA qualifier, and Friday, our TDCAA athletes race theirs.  It’s an exciting week for sure.

Registration for our 2023/24 season is now open

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 2023/2024 membership year is now open. For your convenience, we have made our registration links easier to find on the CTAC website. You can find the links for Program Registrations, Test Drive, Membership Fees and Meet Registrations under “Register Here” on the top right of our main page. You can also find the links under “Programs & Registration” on the top banner next to “About Us”.

We are also excited to announce that we will be hosting our CTAC Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 24, 2024. A banquet fee has been incorporated into the Full Annual Membership fee so these athletes will already be registered for the banquet. All other athletes will be required to purchase a separate banquet ticket prior to the event. More to come on this as we get closer.

Lastly, meet fees for the 2023/24 season will be paid at the time of meet registration, so the Club and parents will no longer have to manage surplus/deficit balances for each of the athletes beyond this year.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email our Head Coach, Dave Christiani or our Club Manager, Amanda Lampard at info@centraltorontoac.ca.

We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.

Florida Training Camp ’23

After four long years, the CTAC crew returned to Clermont Florida for our annual spring training camp. The objective is to have five days of solid training, track and pool, to launch the outdoor season. Along the way, a lot of fun was had by athletes and coaches. Aligators, snakes, the Amazing Race, Noah Lyles, Disney Springs, all added to the excitement. There will be stories to share for a lifetime. Mark your calendars for next year’s camp, April 3-7, 2024.
